Walking the Wall

 
<p>Aurelie Mercier,&nbsp;PA&nbsp; at ACCO&nbsp;Brands, is walking the Great Wall of China to raise money for Children with Leukaemia.&nbsp; She decided to do something special to mark her special birthday with a special challenge. She said, &ldquo;It is my way of paying tribute to my mother on my birthday while also challenging myself to do something that I can look back at and know I achieved when I turned 30&rdquo;</p>
<p>Aurelie&rsquo;s mother died of cancer, and this helped to inspire her choice of the charity, which helps youngsters with Leukaemia.&nbsp; Aurelie, who came to the UK as an au pair from Saint Raphael in the South of France six years ago, will be tackling the wall in October.&nbsp; The expedition will see her walking up to 8 hours a day for 5 days.</p>
<p>She has already raised &pound;2,630 for the charity, mainly through making cakes for her lucky ACCO colleagues, street collections and sponsorship from friends. She said, &ldquo;I would really like to thank all my friends and colleagues for their support.&rdquo;</p>

When Aurelie Mercier hit her landmark 30th birthday, she got her boots made for walking and signed up for another landmark – to walk the Great Wall of China.

Aurelie Mercier, PA  at ACCO Brands, is walking the Great Wall of China to raise money for Children with Leukaemia.  She decided to do something special to mark her special birthday with a special challenge.
